What Vent Strip does:

• Forms top side of tuck pointed joint
• Maintains air flow passage way at top of veneer wall section
• Install by adhering to bottom of shelf angle (cushion/expansion material)
• It is easy to install (4.6" wide 50' long rolls)

How to install Vent Strip*

• Field Fabricate (cut to fit)
• Adhere cushioning material (expansion strip) to bottom of shelf angle
• Shelf angle should be free of contaminates and coated with appropriate corrosive resistant material
• Install 4.66" vent strip with back edge of vent strip abutting the fabric face of the Sure Cavity and front edge extending approximately 1" past the front edge of shelf angle expansion material
• Hold in place with dime sized daps of sika flex
• Install top coarse of brick and tuck point in top coarse of mortar
• Tool joint and cut excess vent strip off while mortar is still plastic
